Tramadol Side Effects
Side effects associated with the use of Tramadol:
With any medication, the risk of side effects is always possible. Allergic reaction to Tramadol is always a possibility. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any hives, breathing problems, swelling of the throat, tongue, face, or lips, or sudden rashes.
Contact your physician and discontinue use of Tramadol if these serious side effects occur:
• Agitation, increased heat rate, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, overactive reflexes, loss of coordination, dizziness or fainting.
• Convulsions or seizures
• Red skin, itchy rash, or blisters
• Weak pulse, shallow breathing, or shortness of breathing
• Confusion or hallucinations
• Fever, chills, or uncontrollable shaking
• Profuse Sweating
There are less serious side effects associated with Tramadol that may require medical consultation.
• Weakness, drowsiness, and dizziness
• Constipation, nauseas, vomiting, and loss of appetite
• Vision problems such as blurred or distorted vision
• Skin can become flushed or red and may feel warm to the touch
• Tingling sensation to the skin
• Insomnia or inability to sleep
Uncommon less serious side effects may include:
• Loss of weight
• Inability to concentrate
• Headaches or migraines
• Painful urination
• Depression
• Low blood pressure
• Irregular menstrual cycle
• Food taste changes
• Ringing in the ears or tinnitus
• Heart palpitation or increased heart rate
• Vertigo or dizziness
• Anxiety, nervousness, or shakiness
• Indigestion, heartburn, and stomach ache
• Euphoria
• Sweating, itching, and hot flashes or other menopausal symptoms
